Recent reports have surfaced alleging a public altercation between Farouk Kibet, a close aide to President William Ruto, and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

According to these claims, Kibet purportedly slapped Kindiki during a public event, leading to widespread speculation and concern.

Some sources suggest that the incident was triggered by disagreements over the handling of certain governmental matters.

In response to these allegations, Deputy President Kindiki has publicly dismissed the claims, labeling them as unfounded rumors.

He emphasized that no such incident occurred and attributed his recent absence from public events to other commitments, not due to any internal conflicts.

Supporters, including digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, have also refuted the allegations, urging the public to disregard the misinformation.

Despite the denials, the rumors have sparked discussions about potential rifts within the Kenyan administration.

Analysts note that such unverified reports can undermine public confidence in the government’s unity and stability.

They caution against the spread of unsubstantiated information, highlighting the importance of relying on credible sources for news concerning national leadership.
